Intermediate Broadway Dance
This course is designed for the student who wishes to continue to learn techniques of Broadway dance. Students will study intermediate level technique in various dance styles such as jazz, ballet, tap and contemporary. Students will develop their performance quality and entertainment style. Students will also continue to learn about Broadway choreographers and their famous works. All Broadway students must have a pair of jazz shoes which will be worn at every class meeting. Jazz shoes may be purchased at a dance supply store or from an online dance-wear distributor. Some Payless Shoe stores even carry jazz shoes. They typically come in black or tan and can be slip-on or lace-up, either of these options is fine. *Please contact Mrs. Grupe as soon as possible with any questions. Each student must have shoes by the start of the second cycle.
